About Lanas de Libélula & Wendy Black

Lanas de Libélula is a shop with hand-dyed and handspun yarns inspired by nature’s neat-o colour schemes.

If you’re wondering about the name, it’s pronounced “Lah-nahs day Lee-BAY-loo-lah” and it’s Spanish for Dragonfly’s Wools.
C’mon, say it three times fast and it’s fun:

It’s got a beat, and you CAN dance to it. ;)

I’m a knitter and a handspinner living with my husband, two whippets, a foster greyhound and a very messy and noisy parakeet in the Yreka area of California in the United States.

I love natural fibers. I love the smell, I love the feel, I love the endless variety of creations which can come from “just” a handful of fluff.
